2018-2009 Birth Year Boys and Girls

Fall 2025 tryout window: May 6 – June 30

Spring 2025 tryout are open for players who are not registered on competitive teams with a NorCal club. NorCal players are welcome with written permission from current club's Director of Coaching.

Once registered, one of our directors will reach out with further information.

Existing Red Star players do NOT need to register, only NEW applicants.

Our professional coaches are some of the best in the Bay Area and fashioned after classic European and South American style soccer. We take an individualized approach, set personalized goals, track individual player’s progress and leverage progressive teaching methods to assist our athletes in reaching their full potential. We proudly support multi-sport and school athletes.

All players will now be bound to a club for a full calendar year. Please contact us if you have any questions (tryouts@redstarsoccer.net). US Soccer and NorCal Premier League have mandated that teams be formed by birth year, and also have regulated the tryouts period. Tryouts for Fall Season is open for all players during May and June, and Tryouts for Spring Season will occur during team practices, through the month of November (non-club affiliated players only). 

Tryout window open May 6th. Red Star open tryouts May 6 – June 30.

If you cannot make our open tryouts, please email us and we can look for an alternative session for you to attend.

  • HOW TRYOUTS WORK?

    Tryout players will be evaluated during team practices, through the month of November. After completing the registration form, a coach will contact you with the date and time of the practices.

  • WHAT IF I WANT TO PLAY UP AN AGE GROUP?

    PLAYERS REQUESTING TO PLAY UP AN AGE GROUP MUST FILL OUT THIS APPLICATION

  • HOW SHOULD I PREPARE FOR TRYOUTS?

    Attend all tryout sessions to allow better evaluation. Contact us at tryouts@redstarsoccer.net for information about time and location.


    • Arrive 15 minutes before start time to check-in.
    • Bring water and a ball
    • Wear cleats and shin-guards
